Burbage Primary School

PTFA

Parents Teachers and Friends Association

Welcome to Burbage Primary School Parent, Teacher, & Friends Association (PTFA)

We are an enthusiastic group of parents who give up a little of our spare time to fundraise and enhance the childrens school experience. We raise up to £10,000 per year through larger occasions such as the summer and Christmas fairs and other smaller events throughout the year including sponsored challenges, Mothers Day gift exchange, school discos and ice-cream Fridays in the summer.

As a parent or carer of a child at Burbage Primary School you are automatically a member of the PTFA and we would love more people to get involved. We know everyone is busy and we appreciate any time you are able to give. There are many ways you can volunteer: helping at events, putting up posters, filling in grant forms or just baking a cake to name just a few!

If you would like to know more or would like to help us (at any time) please e mail ptfa@burbage.derbyshire.sch.uk or message us via Facebook (Burbage PTFA) or alternatively, approach any of us in the playground. We simply can’t run the PTFA without our wonderful community behind us so we really are grateful for any help you can give us.

Ways you can help from home - PTFA Links

Recycle4School

Every term we organise an unwanted clothes & shoe collection, which is a great way to generate funds for the PTFA whilst having a clear out at home. Details of what is accepted can be found at: www.robertsrecycling.co.uk The company pay the PTFA 35p/kilo so the bigger the bag the more money raised and typically collections raise in excess of £100.

Easyfundraising

If you shop online, you can raise funds via easyfundraising. It doesn’t cost you any more, you simply click to the online retailer via easyfundraising and, if they are registered, easyfundraising will automatically take the donation on behalf of PTFA. This is either a percentage of the sale or a fixed amount but will not affect the overall total you pay. The link below will raise an additional £5 donation once you have raised £5 in donations.

Click the link below and search for “Burbage Primary School Parent's Association, Burbage (SK17)” and sign up: https://www.easyfundraising.org.uk/invite/PZ6UCZ/E2A0KO

You can also raise donations when you shop on the go using the easyfundraising app on your phone or tablet.  The app is available on both iOS and Android and is completely free to use. My Name Tags

Any order for name labels from this company will generate a 24% donation for the PTFA. They do colour labels which are washing machine, dishwasher and microwave proof and are highly recommended! Go to http://www.mynametags.com and use school ID 70396 (if you use just the school name this will not generate a donation for PTFA).

Stamptastic

This company sells name stamps and ink pads for labelling clothes as well as a range of other stamps.  Orders raise a 15% donation, click the link https://stamptastic.co.uk/pages/school-welcome#a_aid=5d8a6d152d5c1 and use PTA code: SK17 9AE
